3
Adjust your frame, light, and body position until the shot looks natural.
4
Capture when the pose feels confident and relaxed.
5
The app auto-advances to the next pose.
Guide 5

Using Scene Analyzer

Scene Analyzer is a Pro feature that reads your shooting setup on-device and recommends Flow Sets for the moment.

1
Open the Camera tab and point your iPhone at the scene.
2
Run Scene Analyzer to review the lighting, scene type, people count, and framing.
3
Choose one of the recommended Flow Sets, or switch to a manual mode such as Neutral, Outfit, Travel, Editorial, Casual, Couple, or Masculine.

Scene Analyzer reads your scene, not your identity. It does not detect gender, age, named landmarks, or venues.

Guide 6

Using Shot Review & Hero Picks

Shot Review helps you spot your strongest frames faster. Pro includes AI-powered Hero Picks for reviewing the parts that matter most:

Review areaWhat to look for
Pose qualityFollow the reference, but relax. Natural confidence beats a stiff copy.
ExpressionLook for frames that feel calm, confident, or genuinely happy.
LightingFace a window. Avoid overhead fluorescents. Golden hour is your friend.
Focus & SharpnessHold steady. Use a tripod or lean against a wall for self-shoots.
Background CleanlinessSimple beats fancy. A plain wall outperforms a busy room.
Subject PresenceFull body in frame with a little headroom. Don't crop off your feet.
Guide 7

Sharing and importing Flow Sets

Flow Sets are custom pose sequences for a shoot. You can build one for a location, outfit, client, trip, or creative theme.

1
Open a saved Flow Set and choose the share option.
2
Create a simple 4-character code and send it to a friend, client, or photographer.
3
The recipient can preview the shared set and import it directly into their library.

Share and import works on any plan. Pro unlocks creating and exporting custom share codes.

Guide 8

Pose School: learn the fundamentals

MILES FLOW includes Pose School, short practical lessons covering posture basics, hand and arm positioning, facial expressions, natural light, angles, and building confidence on camera.

Access: Browse tab → Pose School section at the top.

Each completed lesson earns you XP and is tracked on your profile. Do one lesson before each shoot. Even a 60-second refresher makes a big difference.

Guide 9

Subscriptions, trials & restoring purchases

Starting a free trial

1
Tap any Pro feature (e.g., a locked pack).
2
The paywall opens, choose Monthly ($4.99) or Annual ($39.99).

Restoring purchases

Open MILES FLOW → Settings → Restore Purchases → sign in with the Apple ID you used to purchase.

Guide 10

Tips for self-shooting (solo sessions)

1. Use a tripod or prop. A stable phone = sharper photos. A stack of books also works.

2. Use the 5s or 10s timer. Enough time to get into position and settle.

3. Use the Volume button shutter. Press with your hand, foot, or a Bluetooth remote.

4. Face a window. Natural, directional light beats overhead.

5. Use front camera for framing, then flip. Rear cameras have better sharpness.

6. Shoot more than you think. Hero Shots often come from the 10th to 15th attempt, not the first.

Guide 11

Tips for shooting with a friend or photographer

1. Let them see the reference. Prop the phone so you both know the target pose.

2. Communicate. Use the guidance ticker as a coaching prompt, "chin down", "weight to left leg".

3. Shoot in bursts. Ask them to tap the shutter quickly so you can micro-adjust between frames.

4. Review together. After five to ten shots, open the gallery, see which ones are Hero Shots, and adjust.

5. Rotate. Swap places so both of you get coached.

Installation & Launch
MILES FLOW requires iOS 17.6 or later. Update your iPhone: Settings → General → Software Update. If you're on an unsupported device, unfortunately MILES FLOW isn't compatible yet.
  • Force quit and reopen: swipe up from the bottom, swipe MILES FLOW up to close, then reopen.
  • Restart your iPhone. Hold the side button + volume down until the slider appears.
  • Check for an app update in the App Store.
  • If it keeps crashing, delete and reinstall. Export anything you want to keep first.
Camera & Permissions
  • Make sure MILES FLOW has camera permission: iPhone Settings → MILES FLOW → Camera → On.
  • Close any other app that might be using the camera (Zoom, FaceTime, other camera apps).
  • Force quit MILES FLOW and reopen. Then restart your iPhone.
Camera: iPhone Settings → MILES FLOW → Camera → On

Photo Library: iPhone Settings → MILES FLOW → Photos → All Photos
Wipe your lens (fixes most blurry complaints). Tap the preview to focus. For slow response, close background apps and restart your iPhone. Note: older iPhones (11/XR) may run at a lower frame rate, this is expected.
Camera Guidance
  • Stand further back so your full body is in frame.
  • Improve lighting. A well-lit room or outdoor shade works best. Backlit or very dim scenes make guidance less reliable.
  • Wear clothes that contrast with the background.
  • Reduce clutter. Busy backgrounds and extra people in frame can make the scene harder to read.
  • Use the reference as direction, then keep the pose natural.
This usually means the app cannot read a clear subject in frame. Step back, make sure you are fully visible, improve lighting, and try flipping to the rear camera.
Photos & Gallery
Swipe down to force refresh. Close and reopen the app. If photos are still missing, they may have failed to save due to low storage. Check iPhone Settings → General → iPhone Storage (you need at least 500 MB free).
MILES FLOW saves photos to its in-app gallery by default, not automatically to iOS Photos. To export: open Gallery → tap a photo → Share → Save to Photos. Or enable Settings → Camera → Auto-save to Photo Library.
Subscriptions & Purchases
Open MILES FLOW → Settings → Restore Purchases. Sign in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase. Wait 10 to 15 seconds for the app to re-sync. If nothing happens, force quit and reopen. Still stuck? Email support@milesflow.app with your Apple ID receipt number.
A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. To request a refund: visit reportaproblem.apple.com. Then cancel the subscription in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → MILES FLOW.
iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → MILES FLOW → Cancel Subscription. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Performance & Battery
Real-time camera guidance uses the GPU and camera continuously. Tips: close the camera when not actively shooting; use Low Power Mode between sessions; bring a battery pack for longer shoots; reduce screen brightness.
Pause for a minute every 10 to 15 minutes of continuous camera use. Avoid shooting in direct sunlight. Don't charge and shoot at the same time because that amplifies heat. If your iPhone shows a temperature warning, stop shooting and let it cool.
Close background apps. Restart your iPhone. Delete photos you don't need, a very full gallery can slow down scrolling. On older iPhones (11, XR), camera guidance may run at a lower frame rate, this is expected.
Crashes & Freezes
  • Reopen it, iOS usually recovers from a single crash.
  • If it keeps crashing, restart your iPhone.
  • Check for an app update in the App Store.
  • If it persists, email support@milesflow.app with your iPhone model, iOS version, what you were doing, and approximate time.
Sign-In Issues
Apple: Make sure you're signed into iCloud and Two-Factor Authentication is enabled (iPhone Settings → [your name] → Sign-In & Security).

Google: Check your internet connection, disable any VPN, try signing out and back into Google on Safari first.
Yes. Sign-in is optional. Tap Continue as Guest during onboarding.
